Terms of Service

The legal framework governing the use of the Companion Sentinel infrastructure security platform.

1. Acceptable Use Policy

By deploying the Companion Sentinel agent, you agree to use the platform only for lawful security auditing of infrastructure you own or have explicit authorization to monitor. Technical specifications for all audit categories are available in our Knowledge Hub. Unauthorized scanning of third-party systems is strictly prohibited.

2. Agent Deployment Risks

The Companion Sentinel PRO agent is provided "as-is". While designed for maximum stability, the operator assumes all risk associated with executing remediation commands generated by the Companion Sentinel AI engine. Always review generated scripts in a staging environment.

3. Subscription and Credits

Enterprise features require an active subscription. AI analysis may consume Companion Sentinel Credits unless a personal API key is provided. Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

4. Data Protection Framework

Your use of the service is subject to our Privacy Policy. Companion Sentinel complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We act as a 'Data Processor' regarding the technical metadata collected from your nodes.

5. Fair Use and API Policy

To ensure global platform stability, the Public API enforces a strict rate limit of 120 requests per minute. Excessive API calls or efforts to reverse-engineer the Companion Sentinel PRO agent may result in immediate account termination.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. You agree that any legal action between you and Companion Sentinel shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction sitting in South Africa.

7. International Compliance

Companion Sentinel makes no representation that the platform is appropriate or available for use in all global territories. Users who access the service from outside South Africa do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local regulations.
